1) Open Access Policy

IJEECOS is a fully Open Access journal. All published articles are freely available online for anyone to read, download, and cite without subscription or login restrictions.

2) APC Policy (Article Processing Charge)

IJEECOS maintains full transparency regarding publication charges.

✅ APC Waiver: No APC is charged for all accepted articles until 31 December 2026.

From 1 January 2027, the APC will be USD 200 per accepted article.

Important points

No submission fee: Manuscripts can be submitted free of charge.

APC is charged only after acceptance: Payment is requested only if the manuscript is accepted for publication.

Editorial independence: APC payment does not influence peer review or editorial decisions.

3) Peer Review Policy (Single-Blind)

IJEECOS follows a single-blind peer review process:

Reviewers can view author names and affiliations.

Author(s) do not know reviewer identities.

Review process

Initial editorial screening (scope, format, ethics, similarity check)

Assignment to a handling editor

Review by typically two independent reviewers

Editorial decision: Accept / Minor Revision / Major Revision / Reject

Revision submission with point-by-point response

Final decision by the Editor/Editor-in-Chief

4) Publication Ethics and Malpractice Policy

IJEECOS follows standard ethical guidelines to prevent academic misconduct.

The journal does not allow:

plagiarism and duplicate submission

data fabrication or falsification

manipulated images/figures that mislead results

unethical authorship practices (gift/ghost authorship)

If misconduct is suspected, the journal may request clarifications, supporting data, or take corrective action including rejection, correction, or retraction.

5) Authorship Policy

Authorship must reflect real scholarly contributions.

All listed authors must have significantly contributed to the work.

The corresponding author must ensure that all authors approve the final manuscript.

Requests to add/remove/reorder authors after submission require written consent from all authors and editorial approval.

6) Plagiarism and Similarity Check Policy

All submissions may undergo similarity screening. Manuscripts with high similarity, improper citation, or reused content without attribution may be rejected or returned for correction.

Authors must properly cite previously published work, including their own (self-citation must be justified).

7) Conflicts of Interest and Funding Disclosure

Authors must disclose:

funding sources (if any)

potential conflicts of interest (financial or personal)

If none, authors should state: “The authors declare no conflict of interest.”

8) Data Availability and Reproducibility

Authors are encouraged to share data, code, and supplementary materials when possible. A Data Availability Statement should be included in the manuscript (e.g., data available in a repository or available upon reasonable request).

9) Copyright and Licensing (Recommended: CC BY 4.0)

IJEECOS recommends publishing under Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0).

Under CC BY 4.0:

Authors retain copyright.

Others may share and adapt the work for any purpose (including commercial use) with proper attribution to the authors and the journal.

10) Corrections, Retractions, and Post-Publication Updates

If errors or ethical issues are identified after publication, IJEECOS may publish:

Corrections (for honest errors)

Retractions (for serious problems affecting reliability)

Expressions of Concern (if investigations are ongoing)

11) Archiving and Preservation

IJEECOS maintains digital backups and preservation procedures to ensure long-term availability of published articles.

12) Privacy Policy

Author and reviewer personal details are used only for editorial communication and manuscript processing. The journal does not sell or misuse personal information.

13) Advertising and Sponsorship

If advertising or sponsorship is used in the future, it will not influence peer review, acceptance decisions, or editorial independence.
